A Gift From Across the World
Sometimes the most unexpected moments become part of the story of Mystery Craters.
Three years ago, we welcomed a Canadian couple to the Craters. Like so many visitors, they came curious about this unusual place — but their connection with Mystery Craters didn’t end when they left.
They recently returned with something very special: boxes of beautiful crystals they had brought all the way from Canada as a gift for us.
It wasn’t simply the crystals that made the moment so meaningful. It was knowing that, years after their original visit, Mystery Craters had stayed with them — enough that they thought of us, collected these treasures and carried them across the world.
We were fortunate to capture them telling the story themselves.
The crystals now have a home here at Mystery Craters, along with the story of the people who brought them.
Perhaps that’s one of the loveliest things about this place. People arrive to discover the mystery beneath their feet, but every now and then, they leave a little piece of their own story behind.
